Types of Events We Host
Voter Registration Drives
We regularly set up booths at farmers markets, community events, and high-traffic areas to register new voters and update registrations. These events are crucial for expanding democratic participation.
Candidate Forums
Meet local candidates, hear their positions on important issues, and ask questions directly. We host forums for local, state, and federal races to help voters make informed decisions.
Issue Forums & Town Halls
Deep-dive discussions on pressing topics like healthcare, education, climate change, and local governance. These events feature expert speakers and community dialogue.
Social Gatherings
Not all politics is serious! We host potlucks, happy hours, and social events where members can connect, build friendships, and enjoy the community we're building together.
Training Workshops
Learn valuable skills like phone banking, canvassing, social media outreach, and campaign organizing. We provide training for volunteers at all experience levels.
Community Service
We believe in giving back. From park clean-ups to food drives, we organize volunteer opportunities that directly benefit our Ojai Valley community.
Letter Writing Campaigns
Group sessions where we write letters to voters, postcards to encourage turnout, or messages to elected officials on important issues.
Film Screenings & Book Clubs
Educational and cultural events featuring documentaries, political films, and book discussions that explore progressive values and democratic principles.
